Admissions Process

Lawrence School accepts applications for admission and regularly admits qualified students throughout the school year. If you think Lawrence might be a good fit for your child, please contact the admissions office or attend an Open House event. We will be happy to discuss your child's needs and learning styles, and how our program may or may not be appropriate.

If we determine that your child may benefit from attending Lawrence School, we will ask you to fill out and submit an official application. Once an application is completed, the parent or guardian will be invited to visit the school for a one-on-one conversation where specific questions concerning our program and a student's academic needs can be addressed.

After the parent visitation, if the student appears to be an appropriate candidate, he or she will visit the school for a minimum of one full school day. This allows the student to experience our school environment - and allows our admission team and faculty to observe your child’s learning style.

A completed Lawrence School admission application must include the following:

  • Completed Application
  • Student profile (Upper School only)
  • Completed teacher recommendation forms
  • All current educational, neurological, psychological or psychiatric test results (within 12 to 14 months). The Admission Office can provide a list of acceptable testing.
  • Student's personal statement (grades 9 and up)
  • One-time $100 processing fee

Visiting Lawrence
