The goal of the Parents Pride Association at Lawrence is to build community, provide assistance and encouragement, and to support the mission of the school through volunteer efforts. Parents of children with learning differences have unique perspectives, ideas and needs. Our purpose is to provide opportunities for parents learn from and support each other so they can best guide their children towards success in learning and life.
All parent/guardians of current Lawrence students are automatically members of Parents Pride and are invited to attend events and get involved. New parents to Lawrence are assigned a “parent mentor” who will help answer questions and guide them through the start of their Lawrence experience.
Parent volunteers serve as Parents Pride Coordinators and are always happy to answer questions and discuss ideas. The 2010-11 coordinators are: |
