 | 2011 Dyslexia Dash Results Many thanks to all who ran, walked and supported the inaugural Dyslexia Dash on Sunday, October 23, 2011! It was a beautiful, sunny day in northeast Ohio and we had over 200 registered runners and walkers.
We had 13 teams register for the School Team Challenge. The winning team was Team George running on behalf of St. Barnabas in Brecksville. St. Barnabas received a $500 scholarship for their Learning Services department, ReadWrite & Gold software, and a 1-year subscription to Learning Ally. Four additional teams received ReadWrite & Gold software and a 1-year subscription to Learning Ally. A special thanks to Texthelp and Learning Ally for making this School Challenge so rewarding!
The ten runners who came closest to running their Predicted Time each won a Timex Ironman watch ($50 value) and their choice of a second prize. Thank you to Vertical Runner for helping with the watches and providing the prizes! Final results are available at www.chaneyevents.com. If you see any errors or have any questions, please contact cbaker@lawrenceschool.org.

This race will be run without the benefit of watches, course timers or mile markers! |
People with dyslexia must learn to “compete” in life without the things many of us take for granted -- namely, the ability to easily decode written language. Dyslexia Dash participants will put themselves in the shoes of a dyslexic for one race, and challenge themselves to answer the question....
