Like all independent schools, we rely on tuition income, annual contributions, volunteerism and other fundraising activities to support our programs.

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the backbone of our development efforts.  It raises essential operating dollars to keep our specialized program on the cutting edge of learning disabilities education and provides important unrestricted dollars to the schools general operations.

Tuition itself covers only 75% of the cost to educate each student; therefore income from the Annual Fund and other fundraising activities is necessary to bridge the gap between tuition income and actual operating expenses.

The Annual Fund Campaign is a preferred means of giving for many because, unlike tuition, contributions are 100% tax deductible.

Corporate Matching Gifts increase your giving potential!  Check with your employer or your spouse’s employer to see if they participate in a matching gift program.

Tributes

Do you want to let a teacher, tutor, grandparent or friend know how much their support means to you? Tributes make great gifts and express your appreciation in a unique and personal manner.  The Lawrence School Award Pin provides those you honor with lasting proof of your appreciation.

For a minimum contribution of $10, Lawrence School will prepare and mail a personalized Tribute and an Award Pin to those you wish to honor.  Your name and the names of those you honor will also appear on the website.

Tributes make a difference to Lawrence School students because all funds received from Tributes are used to fund classroom projects and innovative teaching ideas that would otherwise be impossible.

Year-End Giving

We know that families make decisions at the end of each year as to which organization they want to direct their “last minute” charitable giving.  When your family goes through this process, please consider the Lawrence School Year End Giving campaign as an option. 

Annual Benefit Auction
On Saturday, May 3, 2008, Lawrence School will host its 18th annual parent-sponsored benefit auction, "Sonnets, Phonics & Pi: A Gala with a Touch of Class" at the new Upper School campus in Sagamore Hills.
 
The excitement begins when you walk through the door and marvel at our spectacular new campus as well as the fabulous silent auction treasures. The intensity builds during the live auction when bidders compete for exciting packages. The anticipation of our 50/50 Raffle drawing will have you sitting on the edge of your seat as one lucky person wins a bounty of cash!
 
Last year, our guests raised over $160,000 to help advance our programs, further community outreach initiatives and develop innovative curricula to help our students succeed.

VIP Association
The Very Involved Parents (VIP) Association exists to support and serve Lawrence School's best interests by supporting its mission through a variety of school, community outreach, family activities and social events.

Volunteer
