Like all independent schools, we rely on tuition income, annual contributions, volunteerism and other fundraising activities to support our programs.

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the backbone of our advancement efforts.  It raises essential operating dollars to keep our specialized program on the cutting edge of learning differences education.  It also provides important unrestricted dollars for the school's general operations.

The Annual Fund is important because it supplements tuition – which currently covers only 75.5% of the actual cost of educating one of our students.  A successful Annual Fund bridges the gap between tuition and the actual cost of education.  This in turn allows us to continue to offer our specialized curriculum, ensure the low student-to-teacher ratio, provide state-of-the-art technology, pursue vital professional development opportunities, and benefit from quality research-based methods and tools.

Your gift of $1,000 or more will support the vision of Lawrence School: One day, all students who learn differently will have the opportunity, encouragement, and resources to fulfill their potential and benefit society.

Annual Benefit Auction
On Saturday, May 1, 2010, Lawrence School will host its 20th annual parent-sponsored benefit auction, Bloom, at the Upper School campus in Sagamore Hills.

The evening features a sit-down dinner, fabulous silent auction items, exciting live auction packages, a $10,000 raffle drawing, and the opportunity to meet and mingle with parents, staff, friends and other members of the Lawrence community.

Many thanks to the wonderful donors, sponsors, guests, and volunteers who help create such an incredible evening. Thanks to you, last spring Lawrence School raised over $190,000 to help advance our programs, further community outreach initiatives and develop innovative curricula to help our students succeed.

Tributes and Memorials

Do you want to let a teacher, tutor, grandparent or friend know how much their support means to you? Tributes make great gifts and express your appreciation in a unique and personal manner. 

For a minimum contribution of $25, Lawrence School will prepare and mail a Personalized Tribute to those you wish to honor.  Your name and the names of those you honor will also appear on the website.

Year-End Giving

We know that families make decisions at the end of each year as to which organization they want to direct their “last minute” charitable giving.  When your family goes through this process, please consider Lawrence School as an option. 

Parents' Pride Association
The Parents' Pride Association exists to support and grow the Lawrence School parent community through a variety of school, community outreach, family activities and social events.

Volunteer
Lawrence is continually in need of individuals willing to share the gift of their time. Whether you have a few hours a year or a few hours a week, we have many opportunities for you to support Lawrence with a gift of your time. For more information on available opportunities please contact us.
