Correction: In the last issue, we incorrectly reported that all varsity baseball games are played at Clark Field in Tremont (Cleveland). Only those games against Cleveland teams are played on this field. Games against Lake Ridge and Grand River are played at those campus locations. See the online calendar at www.lawrenceschool.org for dates and times.

Welcome to Spring....at Last!

Head Notes
Every year, Spring Break represents an important divide for me: everything that happens prior to break is part of the school year’s ‘business as usual’; everything after break is part of the quick journey to the end of the school year. We’ve arrived at that busy season of finishing up and celebrating the achievements of the year, and I hope that each of you will participate in this whirlwind of special beginnings and endings with us!

Next week, we will celebrate the gains that our Upper School students have made through their involvement in sports and activities at the Athletic and Extracurricular Awards ceremony.  Then, events such as 6th grade Connections Day, Prom, Class Trips, Convocation, Lower School Awards, and Graduation will follow fast.

In the midst of celebrating our students, don’t forget the celebration that is reserved for the parents and friends of the school: The Annual Benefit Auction.  This year’s event will proudly celebrate the ‘First Bell’ at the new Upper School campus, and the premium item will provide needed enhancements at the Lower School: A conference room and renovated Admission Office.  This event is going to be sensational!  Our parent leadership is working overtime to assure an evening we will long remember.  The deadlines for donations, reservations and raffle tickets is upon us, so don’t let this fabulous event pass you by!
