Head Notes
This year it seems harder to plan for summer than usual – probably because the weather keeps throwing us curve balls. But summer really is coming, and thoughtful planning now can make the difference between a refreshing and energizing summer and one where children are bored and parents frustrated.
Lawrence offers summer programming for students of all ages, open to current students as well as students from the community. Lower School features an academic morning program emphasizing language arts and math while the afternoon offers fun and skill building in technology, art and physical activities. Middle School students are offered programming in assistive technology and physical skill development. High School students can take courses for credit in American History, Government, Weather, Forensics, Algebra II, Study Skills and Assistive Technology, and Physical Education Skill Development.
While we hope you will take advantage of the summer programs we offer, I hope you will also take time to enjoy our region’s wonderful resources: our Lake Erie beaches, parks, museums and zoos. Sharing time with your child is a precious opportunity which warm weather encourages, and our area offers many options for family getaways.
Plan now to make sure that this summer is a memorable one for you, your child and your whole family. Although it doesn’t look like summer yet, warm days of leisure (for your child, at least) will be with us soon!
