Head Notes
As we settle into our new Sagamore Hills home and continue to expand our Broadview Heights facility, I am gratified by the incredible amount of support and service our parents provide.

During our ‘unpacking phase’ we had parent volunteers – parents who called us with offers of help – working to unpack, stack, store and stash things in our new home. And that is only one example of the selfless contributions our parents make over the course of a year.

In the Lower School, parents develop and coordinate many special projects, such as our international festival, spring picnic, morning breakfast events, and homeroom parties. These events are are made much more meaningful by the projects and activities they create, the foods they lovingly prepare, and their presence as participants in the classroom.

On the Upper School level, the Athletic Boosters’ Club has provided incredible leadership; raising funds and providing our athletic uniforms, an athletic program guide, our wonderful mascot costume, the popcorn machine, the cost of the specialized painting of the lion on the gym floor AND the staffing for ticket sales and concessions at events.

Our auction volunteers are in a league of their own as their efforts not only provide Lawrence with a wonderful event each year, but raise much-needed funds to help cover the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating each student. Also, our parents have developed the www.lawrencevip.org website, organized the school uniform clothing resale, and make sure our Market Day sales go off without a hitch each month. The list goes on and on, and I know that I risk forgetting to highlight many other important parent contributions.

This donation of diverse talents to the school enriches us in so many ways.  Each parent volunteer, by sharing their gifts and talents, both increases the richness of the school and provides a model of community service for our students to emulate.  Thank you to all of you.  Your contributions make the school a better place for everyone!
