There will be no school for Lower School students on Friday, 1/12 due to an in-service day for teachers. Upper School will be in session that day. There will be no school on Monday, 1/15 in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Mid-year reports will be mailed on 1/19. |

6th grade students will visit the new Upper School campus during the week of Jan. 22-26. All families are invited to join us on Friday, 1/12 for the inaugural triple-header basketball games as the Girls' team, JV team and Varsity team play their first games in the new Upper School gym. Games start at 4 pm with the varsity game at 7:30. There will be lots of excitement and surprises, so join us for a great Friday family activity! The new campus is located at 10036 Olde Eight Rd in Sagamore Hills. |

Parent Coffee - January 23 |

All Lower School parents are invited to join us on Tuesday, 1/23 at 8 am for Parent Coffee. This session will feature a presentation by Dr. Ethan Schafer titled, "Is This Normal - Promoting Positive Development in Your Lower School Child." We encourage all parents to attend, and please feel free to come with questions you may have.

We are pleased to welcome Mr. Frank Zubek as the new Lower School music teacher. Mr. Zubek worked as a music teacher in the Bedford City Schools for 27 years and has an M.S. in Education from Wright State University. He has also volunteered for Meals on Wheels, served as Treasurer for a mayoral candidate, and has presented musical programs for area schools and senior centers in his spare time. Mr. Zubek is at Lawrence from 1st-3rd period each day, so please stop by and say hello!

Please join us for a 2007 Benefit Auction planning session next Tuesday, 1/9 at 1:30 pm in the Lower School library. (We’ll finish in time for Lower and Upper School pick-ups.) Lower School mothers are invited to join us for "Moms & Muffins" in February. Mothers of students whose last names end in A-K are invited on Friday, 2/2 at 7:30 am, and mothers of students whose last names begin with L-Z are invited on Friday, 2/9 at 7:30 am. Please RSVP to Pat Feith at x1124.
