Head Notes
As Upper School parents are aware, there are three scheduled “early release days” this winter for students in grades seven through twelve. These early release days allow students to dismiss at noon and – more importantly – afford our teachers the opportunity to receive training that will enhance the education they provide to students on a daily basis.

Beginning next year, we have scheduled two early release days for both campuses.  We will use these days to allow all of our teaching staff to address common issues and participate in specialized training and skill-building that will help them become even more effective educators.

These group sessions will also help us to maintain those close bonds between staff at our two-campus school; bonds which ultimately result in a strong and supportive community. This feeling of respect, support and shared mission is one of the things which has always set Lawrence apart. Next year’s early release days – for both campuses - will provide the staff with the time and settings necessary to nurture and sustain that feeling.
