Head Notes
I’m still on cloud nine over the incredible benefit last Saturday. Our Upper School was literally transformed, and our community and guests were treated to an unbelievable night. Great friends, great food, great items to bid on and buy – and lots of fun!

So many contributed their time, talents and donations that I can’t possibly thank them all, but a few parents truly lived and breathed the auction for months. Our co-chairs, Gwen McCuaig and Beth Dyer, worked tirelessly and with creativity and insight to bring all the pieces beautifully together. Joan Heaney really did transform the gym into a lovely dinner venue while keeping our students front and center as the focus of the evening. Bill Miller’s fabulous photographs emerged as super-sized banners created by Jack Haas and brought our students to life throughout the building. Jan Bell oversaw the beautiful baskets and silent auction, and Lorraine Angus spearheaded the huge task of gift solicitation.  Extra special thanks to each of you!

But thanks are also due to the many, many others who donated gifts, made calls, stuffed envelopes, set up, and otherwise made the benefit a success.  Although the final numbers are not available, it is clear that our proceeds will set a new record!  And we were thrilled with the many new guests who now know about Lawrence. What a wonderful community we are so privileged to be a part of!
