Butterflies

Pictured above, students in Mrs. McKeon's class released butterflies last week. They "netted" and watched caterpillars build their cocoons for weeks, and were excited to finally watch the butterflies fly away!
Theatre Dedication

This week, we were thrilled to host the dedication of the Jenifer B. and Rudolph H. Garfield Theatre at the Upper School. Mr. Jason Culp created a wonderful presentation, while senior Stephen Mitchell sang a solo. It was a lovely evening honoring a very special couple! Pictured above: Mimi Mayer (right) thanks Bob & Jenifer Garfield.
Prom
Students had a great time at Prom last weekend. Congrats to our Prom King and Queen, Andy "Mexico" C. and Viv M., pictured above (left) with Steve Z. and Laura H.
Earth Day
Lower School students celebrated Earth Day at the Upper School on Tuesday. Students went on nature walks, learned about alpacas, and explored plant and animal life. Upper School students led the activities and did a wonderful job!
Career Day

Last week, Lower School students enjoyed Career Day. They visited with a fire fighter, police, a radio host (Brian Cronauer from MIX 106.5), a Federal Air Marshall, and a Strength and Conditioning Coach. Thank you, guests!
Baseball

A big thank you to the boys' baseball team for a season of great memories. You are to be commended for your dedication. Great job!

Head Notes
Today, Joy Browne, our Upper School art teacher is in Washington D.C. participating in the prestigious Power of Art Workshop sponsored by the Lab School.  This is a program designed to celebrate the extraordinary creativity of students with learning challenges and to explore innovative ways to help them develop their talents through the arts.

The workshop is sponsored by the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation and provides the opportunity for participants to work with professional artists as they explore new curricular options and ways to integrate the arts into the core academic curriculum in meaningful ways.

This is a competitive workshop.  Joy was one of 32 educators selected from hundreds of applicants and we are proud of her achievement.  We are also excited to see what wonderful new ideas she comes home with. Congratulations, Joy!
