Head Notes
What a wonderful evening we shared last Friday, November 10, at the "Night in Barcelona - Building a Bright Future" fundraiser! Guests enjoyed a Spanish-themed evening of fine art, wonderful food, and stimulating conversation – all to benefit the Capital Campaign for the new Lawrence Upper School.

The evening's highlight was the viewing of 22 works of art by Lawrence students. The talent and creativity displayed by our students is truly amazing! Guests also enjoyed the Spanish food and beverages, and were treated to a presentation by David Deming, president of the Cleveland Institute of Art.  Finally, guests were invited to tour the Barcelona exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art.

It was wonderful to meet new friends as well as catch up with those of you who have continued to support Lawrence throughout the years. I am pleased to report that the event has raised well over $20,000, and we couldn't have done it without the help of so many wonderful volunteers: Jan Calfee, Bob and Candy Clancy, Lorraine Angus, Sam Hubish, David Deming, our generous sponsors, our incredible in-house staff and, last but not least, the student artists. And of course, many thanks to those of you who attended or otherwise contributed to the success of the evening. You have all truly made a difference!
