Thank you to all who attended Night at the Races or otherwise helped support this annual fundraiser for the Athletic Boosters Club. With your help, over $3,750 was raised, which will be used to help fund athletic uniforms, assistant coaching positions, and a new Lions mascot uniform!
We are currently in search of affordable transportation options to help us meet our ambitious athletic and field trip needs. If you have ideas or connections with anyone who might be able to help, please call Tracy Pedaline at x2124. |

"The new upper school campus goes beyond my expectations. I was impressed with the efficient organization of the grade levels, the advanced technology and the warm, secure surroundings for students. Lawrence continues to expand on the excellent education it provides!"

Upper School campus visit a success

Many thanks to those who were among the 250 guests who visited our new Upper School campus in Sagamore Hills on Tuesday. We were pleased and proud to show off our new home, and your enthusiasm served as an important reminder of why we have worked so hard to realize this dream.
A second Open Campus visit for current families has been scheduled for Wed. Sept. 20, from 3:30-6:30 pm. We hope those who have not had a chance to visit will be able to join us on that date.

Welcome, Miss Turner

Please join us in welcoming Miss Christina Turner to Lawrence as our newest Lower School teacher. Christina holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Reading from Youngstown State University and is currently working towards her Master of Education at Walsh University. As our student population continues to grow, we are thankful for teachers such as Miss Turner who join us a bit later in the school year, and help us keep class size small for our students.

Lawrence student in the news

Upper School student Will F. was profiled in this month's issue of Cleveland Magazine in a cover feature on ten private school students who excel in interesting and/or unique areas. Will was chosen for this piece due to his interest and knowledge in Civil War history and reenactments. Thanks to Will for helping make Lawrence stand out!

Photographing events

We love when parents and fans photograph school activities, and are happy to have you share your memories with family and friends. We do ask, though, for your discretion in posting student photos and names on the web, or in other public media sources. If you would like to post photos in a public forum, please contact Courtney Baker at x3106 for guidance and permission. Thank you!

Head Notes

As we move toward completion of the Upper School campus, it is important that we complete the 8 million dollar Capital Campaign which has made this important step possible. To date, we have received gifts and pledges of over 5 million dollars. Our goal is to close out the campaign by the end of June. To do that, we will move from solicitation of foundations and philanthropic individuals to asking our own families to play their part in making this dream a reality.
Our Board of Trustees and staff have led the way by giving generously. In fact, several staff and board members who made multi-year pledges five years ago have volunteered to extend their payments to help us reach our goal. To further assure success, we will ask that all Lawrence parents join with us in pledging support to the campaign. Multi-year pledging may make it possible to give a larger gift than you thought you could.
Throughout this final year of the campaign, you will hear from other parents, volunteer supporters and staff on how YOU can help us bring this campaign to a successful close. As recipients of the programming we offer, you are better able than most people to understand how important this project is.
For more information, please visit us on the web at www.lawrenceschool.org/giving/capitalcampaign.htm. I hope you will become involved and give generously to the campaign, so we can continue to serve more families in need of our specialized program.
