Performing and Fine Arts to Take Center Stage at Coffeehouse

We will host the 9th-annual Coffeehouse – a unique event that represents the confluence of the performing and fine arts at Lawrence – at the Upper School on Friday, Dec. 8, from 6:30-9 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door.

The evening will showcase a wide variety of artwork and performances from students from both campuses. New this year, the event will also showcase a unique and collaborative choral piece featuring Lower School students with the High School choir.

The Coffeehouse Art Gallery will be open 6:30-7 p.m., and again from 8-8:25 p.m. Live performances in the Garfield Theatre will take place from 7-8 p.m., and again from 8:25-9 p.m. Doors to the theater will open at 6:30 p.m., and seating is first come, first served.

The annual Coffeehouse highlights the importance of having a wide variety of extracurricular activities – from athletics, to a diverse offering of clubs, and the arts – for students to explore distinct talents and learn about themselves. These opportunities are particularly beneficial to children who learn differently. As the Coffeehouse has grown, so has our pride in our many talented students.

If you have any questions about the upcoming Coffeehouse, please contact Mr. Greg Donnellan or Mrs. Stafford Merk.
