Upper School Students Recognized for Integrity, Perseverance
We had the pleasure of honoring two select groups of Upper School students in Mr. Salza's office last week.Our Upper School Students of the Month for January and February were each nominated and voted on by Upper School faculty and included representatives from each of the 7-12 grade levels. The first group was recognized for displaying tremendous integrity at the school while the second was identified for having exceptional perseverance.
"Our students always provide thoughtful, articulate, intelligent commentary on our school, their experiences in schools and most importantly themselves," Mr. Salza said. "Listening to them is a privilege and an opportunity to look more deeply into how our practice every day aligns with our mission. Our kids appreciate their teachers and the opportunities they have to participate in teams and extracurricular activities.
"I am always impressed by how much our students have had to bear, how much courage and resilience they display and how graciously funny and entertaining they remain despite the real struggles they have come through."
Each student received a certificate, gift card, and had the chance to take a selfie with Mr. Salza. Congratulations to the following students:
