Do you know a student in grades K-3 who struggles with reading and language skills? Children sometimes lag behind in literacy development simply because they are “late bloomers”. However, sometimes a child’s struggle, frustration, or lack of interest in reading may be indicative of a more significant issue.
Lawrence School offers free reading skills screenings for students in grades K-3. Screenings are administered by Lawrence School administrators and/or psychologists, all of whom have received specialized training in literacy test administration and interpretation.
As northeast Ohio’s only school specifically serving students with learning differences and attention deficits, Lawrence School specializes in being able to correctly identify literacy issues and offer parents resources and recommendations on where to find help.
Each screening plus feedback takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Advance appointments are recommended.
Screenings take place at the Lower School campus by appointment only. Contact Vanessa Diffenbacher, Lower School Head, at 440-832-7822 or vdiffenbacher@lawrenceschool.org for more information or to schedule an appointment.
The next Reading Screenings are scheduled for:
