Why I love my job: I've wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. At Lawrence, I get a firsthand look at the data to see the amazing academic gains our students make as they close the gap. I love working with the teachers to help them help our students to become confident readers and begin to love reading.
Best part of the day: Listening to the children's laughter and joy fill our classrooms and hallways. Watching students do something they couldn't do before and seeing their eyes light up with accomplishment is incredible.
Spotted off-campus: I can be found somewhere outdoors! My favorite things are running, hiking, camping, boating, kayaking, and paddleboarding. My two pups join all my outdoor adventures. I also enjoy just sitting on my patio with a good book.
Something others don’t know about me: I have a second-degree brown belt in Kenpo Karate and was trained in a variety of martial arts weapons, including staff, broad sword, nunchaku, and sais.
