Why I love my job: I love watching students learn and grow! I truly appreciate the opportunity to demystify the IEP, ETR, and state scholarship processes for parents. I am grateful to be able to help them relax and enjoy life with their children. I feel that the true art of education is helping students who don’t fit the mold succeed.
Best part of the day: I enjoy interacting with the students. I like visiting classrooms and observing the astounding learning that students demonstrate here every day.
Spotted off-campus: I have fun secondhand shopping and repurposing old things. I love finding unique restaurants and locally-owned shops. On days with good weather, you might spot me at the Solstice Steps in Lakewood Park watching the sunset with my husband Bob and our dogs.
Something others don’t know about me: I love doing science experiments. My family has built cameras out of oatmeal boxes, launched rockets, and tested many hypotheses!
Orton-Gillingham. What is it?
Our commitment to multisensory learning is rooted in decades of research on how the dyslexic mind retains new information.
