Associate Head of School

What drew me to Lawrence: Lawrence School's mission and vision are exactly why I went into education. At Lawrence, I get to do what I love most—help people using my extensive background of knowledge.
Why I chose my profession: I wanted to go into a profession where I could serve people in a way that made their life better. I chose education, and more specifically administration, because I felt that parents did not get enough credit for all the amazing things they do behind the scenes to support their children with learning differences. I know firsthand what it is like for a parent to support a child with learning differences, and I am so incredibly lucky to have found Lawrence School.
An accomplishment I’m proud of: In 2006, I launched what is now called the Ethan D. Schafer Center, and in 2010 I brought progress monitoring to Lawrence School. I also earned my masters’ degree in 2008.
Something others don’t know about me: I love to create fairy gardens and care for plants.
