Part-Time School Psychologist / School Psychology Associate

Part-Time, 10-Month Employee,

Make a difference every day! Lawrence anticipates an open position for a part-time School Psychologist or School Psychology Associate to join our Office of Student Advocacy and Support Services. This individual will manage a caseload of students across multiple grade levels and work cooperatively with their families; the school’s faculty and leadership team; and public school professionals.

JOB DUTIES:

• Support and educate Lawrence parents about the ETR/IEP process
• Attend ETR/IEP meetings with Lawrence parents at public schools across Northeast Ohio
• Organize and prepare support materials for ETR/IEP meetings, this includes the documentation of student progress through academic and behavioral data, monitoring, analysis and data-based decision making
• Manage quarterly reports of student progress toward meeting IEP goals
• Maintain school compliance with ODE special education scholarship guidelines

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

• An intrinsic desire to celebrate students who learn differently, relate to their experiences, honor their perspectives, and support their growth
• Master’s degree in school psychology, psychology, or education
• Ohio Department of Education school psychology licensure or license eligible preferred
• Experience working with students who have dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and other language-based learning disorders; as well as obstacles to academic success, such as: ADHD and attention challenges, anxiety, executive function challenges, and more
• Knowledge of the public school legal and procedural processes as it relates to Individualized Education Plans, Multi-Factored Evaluations/Evaluation Team Reports, and monitoring student progress
• Proficient use of technology with the ability to collect, monitor, manipulate, analyze, and report student data, including cognitive testing results, behavioral and social-emotional data, and academic achievement data, including AIMSweb, NWEA MAP, and more.
• A commitment to detail/accuracy, timely implementation of projects, and quality performance while meeting multiple deadlines
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication to various constituents, including parents, teachers, colleagues, educators, district personnel, etc.
• Collaborative mindset while working with other passionate colleagues
• Organizational skills to manage the workload, monitor multiple deadlines, and organize data sources
• An affinity for Lawrence School and the ability to align actions and decisions with the institution’s mission, vision, and guiding principles

SCHEDULE:

Ten-month position that follows the academic calendar with occasional evening and weekend hours

Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
