Newest National Junior Beta Club Members Inducted

We had the privilege of inducting 13 new members into Lawrence School's chapter of the National Junior Beta Club last night in the Garfield Theatre at the Upper School. The induction class included six students in grade 7 and seven students in grade 6.

With its mission geared to "promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students," the National Junior Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in the country.

This year's inductees included: Nayib Amadeo '24, Christine Blanc '24, Mason Dawkins '25, Makayla Delaine '24, Adam DePasquale '25, Gade Gerrek '24, Olivia Healy '25, Hunter James '24, Cole Kierspel '24, Kaylee Oberg '25, Frankie O'Brien '25, Carleigh Phelan '25 and Sophia Thomas '25.

The four pillars of the National Beta Club include: Achievement – recognizing and honoring high academic achievement; Character – preparing young people for life and empowering them to be successful; Leadership – developing the leaders of tomorrow; and Service – demonstrating the Beta Club motto, Let Us Lead By Serving Others.

The evening also featured a part of inductees from last year's class – Javier Brewer '23, who delivered the introduction, and Lucy Wyville '24, who presented the Junior BETA Club overview.

But the highlight of the ceremony belonged to the parents of our inductees, who read congratulatory letters to their children. Congratulations to all our honorees and families for this remarkable achievement!
