Mary Foti joins the Lawrence School Board of Trustees as an already-familiar presence in the community after working as Grants Coordinator from 2014-2021. Her proposals to various foundations, corporations, and government agencies helped secure funds for tuition assistance, general operations, capital improvements, classroom needs, and dozens of other projects.
Her professional background includes time as a paralegal and the South Euclid Municipal Court Clerk, as well as the Grants Manager at the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Additionally, her extensive nonprofit work has left an undeniable mark on Northeast Ohio.
In 2021, Mary was named an Inaugural Board Member at Hospice of the Western Reserve Foundation. She is a Patient & Caregiver Advocate at OneVillage, a Meal Volunteer at St. Herman’s House of Hospitality in Cleveland, and an active parishioner of St. Dominic Church in Shaker Heights. Mary also serves as a Peer Navigator at FORCE, an organization that works to help improve the lives of individuals and families facing hereditary cancer.
Mary earned a B.A. in English Literature from Miami University and a Master of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University Steinhardt. Currently, she is working to obtain her master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walsh University.
Mary lives in Shaker Heights with her husband Anthony and is a proud Lawrence alumni parent.
