Why I love my job: It is an absolute joy to watch kids enjoy a subject that was once difficult for them.
What drew me to Lawrence: I was fresh out of college in 1997, and Lawrence offered an excellent opportunity for substitute teachers. That’s how I first heard about the school. Once I learned more, it was a dream to work in a school that helps so many students.
Favorite subject to teach: I love teaching about the Salem Witch Trials, which ties into our class discussion of The Crucible.
An accomplishment I’m proud of: I wrote the English curriculum at Lawrence as the school’s first ninth-grade English teacher and enjoy editing it each year.
