What drew me to Lawrence: Having a child of my own that learns differently, I know firsthand how difficult school can be for the student and the family. I wanted the opportunity to provide a warm, welcoming classroom where students can feel safe to be themselves and learn alongside others that understand them.
Why I love my job: I love working with children. I love that they are honest, full of curiosity, and accepting. The fact that I have the opportunity to foster and nurture these innate qualities in them is fun and rewarding.
Spotted off-campus: Participating in all kinds of outdoor adventures with my family, or shopping in the aisles at Target.
Something others don’t know about me: Despite my height, I was very good at running hurdles in high school!
