We are excited to announce the dates for our upcoming fall Parent-Teacher Conferences: Wednesday, Nov. 6, and Thursday, Nov. 7. In-person meetings will take place on Wednesday only, while virtual conferences will be available on Thursday. There will be no school for students on these days. Though not required, students are encouraged to attend conferences.
We understand the importance of these conferences as a valuable opportunity to connect with your child’s teachers and gain insights into their academic progress, achievements, and overall classroom experience.
What to Expect:

Focused Discussions: Conferences will now focus on specific assignments selected by both your child and their teacher. These discussions will highlight academic and executive function skills, as well as growth your child has demonstrated.

Student Reflections: Student self-assessments of specific assignments will be shared.

Standardized Assessments: If you would like to discuss your child’s AIMSweb results, please schedule an appointment with Amy Sheeler, Kim Linehan, or Liat Shyken.
As you know, we closely monitor the progress of our Upper School students. We administer three benchmark assessments in reading, math, and writing each year to track their development in these areas. For more information on these assessments and how we use the results, please refer to the benchmark letter that was sent out in August.
