Why I love my job: I love building the confidence of students who may have never felt comfortable participating in music before. I have a keen ability to get students to “just try.” The confidence that trying scary things can bring a student long-term is amazing to witness.
What drew me to Lawrence: I’m grateful for the freedom to organize and design music curriculum the way I want. Engaging students in performing and music-making is so much more rewarding than standing on stage and doing it myself.
Best part of the day: Creating music with my students!
Something others don’t know about me: I love poetry and enjoy taking creative writing classes through Literary Cleveland. I'm also a vegetarian.
