Following her graduation from the University of Cincinnati, Jennifer served as Director of Communications for both News Corp and America Online. She also worked for U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno as Director in the Office of Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Justice.

During her years living in New York City, Jennifer volunteered at the Packer Collegiate Institute, the Museum of Jewish Heritage, and Jumpstart.

Jennifer is an active member of the Lawrence School Board of Trustees. In 2017, she chaired the New Head Search Committee and currently serves on the Executive Committee and co-chairs Governance.

A native Clevelander, Jennifer moved back to Northeast Ohio from New York City in 2013 with her husband Doug and their three children. Jennifer and her family reside in Pepper Pike and she is a proud Lawrence School parent.

Rob Risman is the President/CEO of Burton Carol Management LLC, a property management firm with properties in Ohio, Florida, and Michigan. He coordinates, directs, and oversees all legal matters, supports, and assists in-house divisions with regard to all aspects of day-to-day company affairs and operations. Additionally, Rob directs company acquisition and disposition strategies.

Rob is a member of the Florida and New York Bar Associations and holds a corporate council designation for his company with the Ohio Bar. Rob is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Ohio.

In addition to serving on Lawrence School’s Board of Trustees, Rob is a member of the following boards: Kent State University Foundation Board, University Hospitals Board of Trustees, Ohio Apartment Association Board, and the Case Western Reserve University Cancer Council.

He received his bachelor’s from Tulane University before earning his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law.

Rob and his wife Trish live in Chagrin Falls with their two sons. They are proud Lawrence parents.

Dr. Lina Mehta is Associate Dean for Admissions at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and Professor of Radiology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Currently, Dr. Mehta is the Chairperson of the National Committee on Admissions, a five-member advisory group that provides guidance on national admissions policies and procedures to the American Association of Medical Colleges.

As a board-certified radiologist, Lina maintains an active clinical practice, with a specialty in nuclear radiology (positron emission tomography is a particular area of interest) and has written and lectured extensively in this area. She has served as the Chairperson for Radiology Risk Management and Quality at University Hospitals of Cleveland and has been a member of the Radiology Board of Directors. She is currently a member of the department’s quality, compensation, and promotion, and tenure committees.

Dr. Mehta graduated from the University of Akron and earned her medical degree at the Northeast Ohio Medical University. She lives in Pepper Pike, Ohio with her husband, Dr. Gilles Pinault. They have a daughter who graduated from Lawrence School in 2021.

William Fudge III serves as Vice President, Tech Optimization at OEConnection, LLC. William first joined the company as an intern and has continued to advance through the software engineering ranks at OEC.

Contributing in numerous roles over his 20 years of service, William has held leadership roles in Software Development, Business Intelligence, Infrastructure, and UX/UI. He previously served as Vice President, Software Engineering.

William holds a Master of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University, graduating with business honors, and a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Akron.

He is thrilled to be a part of the Lawrence School Board of Trustees. In addition, he is a member of the Akron Early College Advisory Board at The University of Akron, and is active in the Northeast Ohio tech community participating in volunteer opportunities and other partnerships.

He lives in Macedonia with his wife Chelci and their two children.

William Fudge is now VP, Tech Optimization at OEConnection, LLC.

Rob Port is a Partner at Hahn Loeser + Parks LLP. He has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation, including class action, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, enforcement of non-compete agreements, employee raiding, unfair compensation, and trade secrets.

Before earning his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Rob worked as a senior engineer for Northrop Grumman Corporation. He received his Bachelor of Science from Drexel University and his master’s in mechanical engineering from The Catholic University of America.

In addition to serving on the Lawrence School Board of Trustees, Rob is a longtime member, and former chair, of the Camp Wise Committee at the Mandel Jewish Community Center. Rob is also a former member of the Board of Trustees for the Mandel Jewish Community Center and the Jewish Federation of Cleveland Community Relations Committee.

Rob lives with his wife Cyndi, their three children, and two dogs in Beachwood. His daughter is a current high school student at Lawrence.

Dr. Sarah Adams is a pediatrician at Akron Children's Hospital. She graduated summa cum laude from The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science with a concentration in Chemistry.

After graduation, Dr. Adams earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She then completed her pediatric internship and residency at Akron Children's Hospital. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

Dr. Adams and her husband John were recognized in October of 2009 for their generous funding of the construction for the John R. and Sarah A. Adams Honors College Amphitheater. They are also proud to sponsor The University of Akron Honors College Speakers Series.

Her podcast, Growing Up with Dr. Sarah, addresses general health and wellness, parental issues, family matters, and real life challenges that affect every single one of us. Dr. Adams currently lives in Hudson with John and their sons Gabriel and Benjamin, and enjoys volunteering for her community.

After graduating from William & Jefferson College with a bachelor’s in economics, Kassie spent over 30 years in commercial real estate finance. Her extensive experience included developing new relationships and underwriting commercial real estate investments. Most recently, she served as Director of Investments and Real Estate Investment Manager for National Real Estate Advisors in Washington DC.

Kassie, her husband John, and their son relocated to Northeast Ohio in 2017. In addition to her work on the Lawrence School Board of Trustees, Kassie is a proud Lawrence parent and is an active member of Lawrence School’s Parents Pride.

In her spare time, Kassie enjoys spending time with her family, minding the birds and koi, and cheering on the Nittany Lions of Penn State.

Scott Burton serves as Senior Advisor and Special Projects at Marburn Academy. He joined the school in 1985 as a teacher, then became Dean of Students/Director of Admissions before holding the role of Associate Head of School from 2011-2019. Scott was also Interim Head of School for the 2019-2020 school year.

A long-time admirer of Lawrence School, Scott’s first connection came in 1989 when he and his fellow Marburn faculty spent a day observing and collaborating with the then-dePaul School. Since then, he has worked on two ISACS Accreditation Teams at Lawrence. Both instances had a lasting impact, as did Scott’s relationship with Head of School Doug Hamilton. The pair have often been able to share ideas and advice with each other, and now, Scott is incredibly excited to work with the entire Lawrence community as a member of the Board.

Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in special education and teaching from The Ohio State University. He earned his master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Ashland University. In his free time, Scott enjoys rooting on the Buckeyes, hiking, jogging, and spending time with his wife and two grown children.

Darnell Davis Jr. serves as Director, Leadership and Strategic Initiatives at Business Volunteers Unlimited, which connects businesses and people to meaningful volunteer opportunities with nonprofits in Northeast Ohio. His expertise spans over 15 years across the public and private sectors. He excels at driving strategic initiatives at BVU, fostering strategic partnerships and promoting inclusion through participation in the IDEA (Inclusion Diversity Equity & Accessibility) Task Force and the Board CONNECT team.

Darnell's commitment to community extends beyond BVU. He actively serves on the boards of the Akron Urban League Young Professionals and the Bread Winners Academy. Additionally, he shares his knowledge as an adjunct lecturer at The University of Akron, teaching political science and government. He also contributes to the Upward Bound program as an academic instructor.

His career trajectory includes diverse roles such as public and private sector consultant/manager, governor-appointed university trustee, and educator. He has previously lent his talents to organizations like the Obama Campaign, YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs, Open Doors Academy, and Phantom Fireworks. Darnell holds degrees in Political Science & Criminal Justice and Public Administration from The University of Akron.

Kathryn Passov Edelman is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified Fitness Professional, with specialties in senior fitness, exercise for Parkinson’s patients, and kid’s fitness.

An Arizona State University alumna, Kathryn began her career in Los Angeles working for Gold’s Gym and The Malibu Kids Club, developing kid’s fitness class curriculum and holding lead teaching responsibilities for the latter.

Upon returning to her childhood home of Cleveland, she worked at University Hospital’s One to One Fitness Center before launching her own personal fitness company in 1993. She brought her unique brand of kid’s fitness classes to many preschools, daycare centers and day camps throughout the Cleveland area, including Hudson Montessori, Jewish Day Nursery, Beechmont & Oakwood Day Camps, and Woodside Child Care at Park Synagogue.

As her long-term relationships with her many personal training clients passed the 20-year mark, Kathryn has taken great pride in adapting to the challenges of aging and disease with continuous education and specialties in an ever-evolving field.

A big believer in giving back to her community, Kathryn served on the Board of Shaking With Laughter, a local organization founded to raise funds for Parkinson’s research. She co-chaired the galas from 2011-2017, helping raise over $1.25 million dollars for research.

She also helped facilitate the working group and advisory committee for teen engagement at The Temple Tifereth Israel.

Aside from work, Kathryn enjoys cooking and entertaining, live music, reading, travel and active recreation including kayaking, hiking, skiing and biking.

Kathryn is married to Richard Edelman and a proud mom to kids Ava (Lawrence Class of 2019) and Alex. They live in Shaker Heights.
