Game on! The Lawrence Lions new eSports team has begun competing and won their first scrimmage, against Steubenville High School. Playing League of Legends, team captain James '21, along with fellow seniors JJ, Matthew, Max, and Mitchell, were victorious in two matches.
They won their first match (43,549 points with 52/4/60 against 21,968 points with 3/52/3). The second match scores were 49,650 points with 48/6/26 against 30,957 points with 6/49/7.
JJ and James played using the school's new gaming systems, Lenovo Legions. Other team members were able to compete from home using their own equipment. Competition season begins in March – we can't wait!
