Lawrence School is pleased to welcome eight outstanding teachers to the Upper Campus! This incredible group has quickly settled into their classrooms, bringing passion to our students every day. It’s a mix of new faces and a couple of familiar ones who have made the exciting leap from our Lower School.
Hannah Birchman
"Four of my children have dyslexia. We tried to work within the school system in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for many years and then we tried homeschooling. It wasn’t sustainable. As a native of Cleveland, my parents invited my family to move in with them for a year to attend Lawrence. I knew a move to Ohio would require me to re-enter the workforce after raising my six girls. I saw the profound impact Lawrence had on my girls, and I wanted to be part of the faculty that could play an instrumental role in the education of other students."

"I have been working with children and families for most of my professional career. Access to education has always been a personal principle of mine, considering that my Mema, who helped raise me, was an educator as well. When a friend and colleague shared with me the work happening at Lawrence, I immediately felt an alignment with the mission, vision, and guiding principles. It is so refreshing to be warmly welcomed in a workplace and encouraged to bring my perspective and praxis to contribute to this community."
Samuel Carryer
"I'm very passionate about helping students with learning differences. As a neurodivergent student myself, I understand the challenges a public school system can bring. I strive to make an impact on Lawrence's population, trying to provide the most well-rounded math education possible."
Samantha Glowacki
"During my student teaching, I came across many students being left behind. The public schools kept pushing them along without giving them the skills they needed. When I found Lawrence, it fulfilled that need to help and reach everyone, which is very important to me."
Kayla Koz
"I worked as a direct support professional throughout college, supporting individuals with autism with executive functioning and community integration. I discovered a love and passion for working with individuals with differences."
Mariah Magistrelli
“My transition to the Upper School has been an exciting experience; everyone has been welcoming and supportive. My time at the Lower Campus really helped me grow as an educator, and I feel prepared to continue that growth here. I’m especially excited to keep working with many of the same students I’ve taught in different ways over the past two years.”
Lyndsay Miller
“I’m thrilled to continue this journey from the Lower School to the Upper School, growing alongside the students I’ve been honored to teach these past three years, and continuing to witness—and shape—their incredible growth.”
Sabrina Rock
"Because great minds do not think alike, it is important to remember that each child is an individual, and we need to really see them. And when the students know we care about them and see them individually, they will remember that love, care, support, and encouragement."
