Upper School Administrative Realignment Announced

Posted April 29, 2020 in Articles

To better serve the needs of our Upper School students and families, we are excited to announce the shifting of roles for a trio of key administrators.

Effective June 1, Jason Culp (pictured center) will be Head of Upper School Campus, Shanika Lovelace will become our Director of High School Programming, and Greg Donnellan will move into the role of Director of Middle School Programming. The realignment is a result of the significant growth experienced at the Upper School campus over the past several years and will help us provide an even more personalized experience for each student.

Over the summer months, this newly formed team will roll up their sleeves and begin to work together, ensuring Lawrence's Upper School campus experience is the best that it can be for students, families, and faculty alike.

About Jason Culp
Jason (pictured above middle) joined Lawrence in 2002 as Dean of Students and transitioned to lead the Upper School in 2010. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Baldwin-Wallace College and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. He is licensed as a Professional Counselor in the State of Ohio.

About Shanika Lovelace
Shanika's presence has been felt at Lawrence School for nearly 20 years. She (pictured above left) currently serves as the Upper School Dean of Students, but began her tenure teaching mathematics in the middle school. Shanika holds a bachelor's degree in Education with a math concentration from Ursuline College and a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Phoenix.

About Greg Donnellan
For more than a decade, Greg (pictured above right) has been a key member of the Lawrence School community. He is a graduate of the Conservatory at Baldwin-Wallace College, and began his work at Lawrence developing our high school music program. In 2017, Greg shifted to the role of Academic Coach, supporting teachers in their pursuit of engaging lessons and educational excellence for all students.
